SUSTAINABLE FASHION AND ARTISAN VALUE

With the aim of supporting sustainable fashion, EZYA chooses to work with local artisans from the Andes of Peru, contributing to reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry on nature. In this way, EZYA reduces the carbon footprint by promoting the use of local resources and production. We also care about fair trade work for our artisans, giving them the true value they deserve.

At EZYA, we are committed not only to creating fashion but also to preserving the history and traditions that nourish our creativity. Each bag and garment is a testament to Peru’s cultural richness, woven with threads of heritage and the future, uniting generations in a lasting expression of style and authenticity.

Our Raw Material: THE SURI ALPACA

We choose to make our products with one of the finest alpaca fibers, the suri fiber. Suri alpacas are rare and constitute only 4% of the world’s alpaca population.

Suri alpaca hair is truly exceptional, being one of nature’s rarest treasures. This breed, which finds its home in the majestic Andean highlands, notably differs from its relative, the Huacaya alpaca, with its elegant and unique appearance. Suri fiber is notable for its straight and silky texture, growing in independent locks, evoking the beauty of high Andean shawls. Its hair combines the softness of cashmere with the shine and luster of silk, providing a unique tactile experience. Unlike the Huacaya, the Suri has a fluffy and glossy appearance, thanks to the arrangement of its fiber parallel to the alpaca’s body. This fiber also comes in an impressive variety of colors, with a total of 22 different shades. Although the global population of Suri alpacas is small compared to Huacaya, its rarity and exceptional quality make it a true treasure, cherished by those seeking the best of nature in their high fashion and luxury garments.
